thinking about purchaseing one of these then later another pair of the same bass bins for bigger shows with 3 amps driving the system:)

there very helpfull go to the demo room and listen with them, they realy crank up the volume, hammer em out,

i dont like the look of those steve at the demo room they looked cheap and tacky

1. Piezos sound aweful.
2. 94db is a very low sensitivity.
3. I wouldn't trust their specs, they say the cabs will play down to 30hz, but at what SPL.

Then again, anythings gotta be better than JBL & Peavey :D:D:D

The Class Ds we bought (initially as a cheap stopgap) are the single 15" 3 piezo wooden cabs. I won't let of our other DJs use them (as much as Nick may covet them), they are my main speakers.

They give a very warm sound, running my Denons through them playing my favoutite test tracks I noticed things I never even realised were on the tracks in question. For example there are so many little nuances on Space Oddity that I'd never even noticed through headphones. Steely Dan 's "Can't buy a thrill" album just sounds fantastic & Freebird made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end

They're allegedly 350w, I've been known to push 500w into them & have had no problems. I would recomend them to anyone after a cheap set of cabs. The only fault I can find with them is they're very bassy, however it's nothing you can't sort by pulling the bottom end back a bit on your mixer.

They look like Peavey speakers style wise---plenty of power but I bet they weigh a lot and you need some serious transport.

I worked on some Peavey speakers like that a couple of years ago--excellent--especially as I didnt have to lug them in and out of the Hotel.

Believe me, you don't need subs with these!!! I run them for the large rig, two pairs, and have to cut most of the Bass EQ off the mixer. Apparently the new ones are now 500w, so one pair would do a lot of work. I.m very happy with mine, the only thing is you really need a stage to get a bit of elevation for the top frequencies. Have you realised that you could once buy these cheaper than dedicated subs? If you puy in an active crossover, away you go!!:D :D

I want to stick up for plastic cabs.

I know this is the Class-D section but plastic cabs are much lighter than wooden cabs. Wooden cabs do give the speaker its full sound but for my needs i need the rig to be as light as possible as its getting expensive to transport heavy gear. For bigger venues like 500-600+ then yeah use wooden cabs to get the sound out there and not stuck in the plastic box.
