Hawaiian themed disco. What music?

I've a 2 hour "hawaiian themed" disco coming up in a care home next week.

Anyone have any suggestions for what music to play?


Think I'll try and dig out my old hawaiian shirt for this one!

To be honest, I know nothing about Hawaiian music. The only thing I know about Hawaii is the pizzas! Although even then I always used to burn them. But I've solved that problem. I now cook them in the oven at Aloha temperature!! :daft:

I would question it definitely if Bob Marley started playing, but would the average guest?? ;)
Something like Small Axe is a great track with background music and may fit in, but I would want to keep it authentic.

In terms of tracks to party too - its just not the type of music you do that, although I gather its gone a lot more hiphop and reggaeton in recent years, but people think of Hawaiian music as the above. I would probably start off hawaiian and then see how it goes as guests will probably want to dance to stuff they know. i would stack up the despacito, hips don't lie, ricky martin, lambada, santana, gasolina, wild thought, danza kudro etc. Personally I would say its caribbean / hawaiian influenced if you don't have enough stock of tracks that people know.
