I very nearly bought a pair of those but there are no independant channels thats what put me off

However they would appear good value 4 money @ some £16 per pair ,if you are not that fussed:)

Is UHF still the best way to go ? I have a UHF guitar pack and it has been great.

Did once use a legal Freq VHF Mike at a practice room that was about 25 yards away from a Bingo hall. You can guess what we used to get through our PA from the VHF Receiver :D

There's a lot less fuzzy noise with UHF and virtually no interference.

They are pretty awful, I got some! There is a lot of background hiss, quality of sound is very "tinny" and if you only have one mic switched on, interference is awful but it goes away when you switch the other one on. The only thing I use them for is to give to the person running a raffle at an OAP club but most are deaf anyway so don't notice the quality.

They also cause background noise with my mixer even when they are switched off at the mixer. If you unplug them from the mains, you get a nice "thump" through the speakers.

You can tune in an FM radio as a receiver too.

I have no doubt that for that price these are not crystal locked on to a frequency so with temperatue variation you will get your fequency moving all over the place. I doubt they are stable and in all honesty, I would stay well away from crap like this. They must cost at least £3-4 to make that before you start adding shops fees etc etc

To be honest I didn't realise that they operated on an illegal frequency. I was testing the rig out last night and plugged them in as a reminder of what they were like, and the hiss from them is terrible. As you push the fader up on the mixer, it gets louder and louder and I think they are little more than toys for kids. They are a waste of space and I shan't be using them again.

I bought a cheapie one from toys r us of all places. Ok for the occasional speach etc but not much else. Cant really recomend it but i dont use wireless enough to make it worth spending loads on a mic i only use twice a year.

Decent radio mic that won't sound horrible and will work for more than a year £150 +, if you can afford sennheiser / shure - the beta 58 or pg are a bit cheaper than the sm and ideal for vocal stuff. For that money its not worth it.
