I need some 'music you can jive to' for a party in a week.

If anyone says 'Jive Bunny', I'll go pop!

Go on to iTunes & check Brian Setzer Orchestra, or Lee Rocker - Burnin love for modern recordngs

Or go through your Rock n roll / swing stuff for older bits & bobs (At the hop, In the mood, Rock around the clock, Roll over Beethoven etc....)

Crocodile Rock - Elton John

Every time I play that people start to jive, must admit though it's not my area of expertise, if I get asked for it I reach for a Rock and Roll album and hope for the best

Think theres a good album to use by a vertually unheard of producer....think its called JIVE BUNNY AND THE MASTERMIXERS......

and whats wrong with Jive bunny never fails to get customers dancing yet?...because if it's a gig where you are asking for jive stuff, they will be seriously into it and Jive Bunny is not serious jiving music: play it at a rockabilly night and see if you get out alive!!!!! :p

And even if you get a request for something to jive to, I'm sure they will not be expecting Jive Bunny....

Let's be honest.... it may have it's place, but it is a 'novelty' record.

(Personally, I'd consign it to the bin along with the Birdie Song!!! )

Well I dunno, I reckon that something quite recognisable, but surprising could go down quite well if used at the right moment. ;-)

(Still can't get smileys to work :-( )

They're havin' a laugh!

Most of the tracks would be impossibleto jive to.

Blondie - in the flesh ??????????????????? What are they going for the record for the worlds slowest jive?????????????

There is a H-U-G-E difference between a Country jive and a Rock-n-Roll jive..... when most people ask for something to jive to they mean a Rock-n-Roll jive. A Country jive is slower beat and a different movement completely.... those of you who do Irish gigs will know exactly what I'm talking about! :D

You see, that's why I asked - You get to hear all sorts of opinions from all sorts of people.

Which allows me to make a reasoned decision. Thank you all.

at first i was in disbelief, then i had a picture in my mind when i read that list, the picture of a skinny couple in sparkly spandex, "jiving" to speeded up versions of just about anything!! i would stick to the rock n roll type jive - (unless they all turn up in lurex .....lol)
