(Before anyone makes any comments on this, I would like to point out that I'm trapped under the laptop & I can't reach the remote)
Family fortunes is on & they just showed a clip of Gabby Logan & her husband in one of those make your own pop video jobbies (you know the sort of thing, gorified karoke with you superimposed on a background)it was all "pink & fluffy" with hearts & all that.
The song? Yep Perfect Day.

The song's lyrics suggest nothing more than conventional romantic devotion, but it is usually said to deal with Reed's attitude towards his own addiction to heroin, portraying it in romanticised and fond phrase. Critics of this view assert that Reed never tried to conceal his substance abuse so the song does not have concealed meanings of this nature. However, this popular belief of the song's meaning gave many across the United Kingdom a smile when the BBC used the song and the charity version was released.

Although pretty acurate on that point. Although they did neglect the fact that the reason the BBC released it for Children in need was because they had used it to advertise themselves & were forced to do something to make up for this fact (the BBC are not allowed to use adverts other than trailers for forthcoming programs)
