I know how to do the finger song dance as it was me and my fellow Havenmates who invented the dance back in 1995 whilst working at Haven Holidays... My parents even have camcorder prove of it (Oh Dear)...

I like to 2 "rock out" when i play summer of 69 etc, bop around with the jam's town called malice and of course join in with YMCA, timewarp, cha cha slide etc....lol. Butthe intensity depends on the atmosphere on the night !!

I was reading the DVD thread about dance steps and just wondered how many of you can dance the steps to the songs that have one and how many of you do ) either cos they don't know it, can't remember it, etc etc

Oh yes, if pushed I will do Oops up , as long as somebody whispers the moves in my ear, and tomorrow I will be leading my customers in Superman, and The Music Man as if my life depended on it!:D

I have a distinct lack of coordination, as a consequence I don't dance (even YMCA becomes an uncontrolable mass of flailing limbs)

I don't dance at gigs or at nights out. I have two left feet.

*BUMP*
Stumbled across this searching for something else entirely.
So, anyway, yes, I dance, but I hate dancing to the action songs (will only do 'YMCA" and 'Time Warp' when I'm working).

No, and err... no! :p
Have been known to do a bit of handclapping in Cha Cha Slide or tromboning during Music Man but that's about it I'm afraid :D

Wot--no air guitars during the solo on Rockin all over the World--
I just couldnt stop myself two weeks ago:D :D :D
BTW did anyone see the UK air guitar championships the other week on TV?
:D :D :corabarsteve: :corabarsteve: :corabarsteve:
I liked the bit where they were practising---looked a bit like--they didnt have a guitar at all:

It is a bit like us followspotters.. during shows like High School musical.. when we are not needed on a person.. and its a good tune.. we have a little jig:p

Have a disco
12-10-2007, 01:33 PM
I used to be a breakdance in one of cambridges shopping arcades so yep I can dance. I just choose not to go out n dance any more old age etc etc, may jig behand the decks occassionally or do the actions to certain classics as to educate LOL
Surely you jest?
ok it was meant to be 'or its a good tune'
But i do like the HSM songs.. i guess you have a tendancy towards things like that if you work on the shows.

Yes I dance behind the disco, in front of the disco and at discos plus of course I teach line dancing 3 times a week (7 hours). Dancing is good for you even if you are rubbish at it. How cabn we expect punters to get up at functions if we wont/dont.

dancing is like smiling and laughing....its infectious!
I think dancing while DJing ...you're giving the impression you're having a good time....would be rude if the punters didn't too!

I do belive Angela meant the way you reffered to the female person as a 'fit bird'....maybe 'nice young lady(s)' may have been more appropriate as we have very few ladies on here and in the work we do.
So the chances of the opposite sex coming onto the forum with comments like 'fit bird' are zitch..........:)
And to quote 'animal park' is even worse......IMO
