mobile disco store problems

anyone else had problems with the mobile disco store- i think they advertised here earlier in the year- i bought batch of stuff from them- nothing major, but the smoke machine has now broken and i just went onto the site to check out the returns procedure- noticed a piece of text about how it had changed hands, but when i rang the guy said it had changed hands, but was in liquidation and he had nothing to do with it- should the new owners of the site honour the guarantee?
anyone else had this problem?

The new owners of the site are DFB I believe and I don't think they can be held responsible for a company that has nothing to do with them. I'm pretty sure they just bought the site.

Have you tried getting in contact with the manufacturer of the smoke machine? I think you'd probably have to send it back to them anyway, if it was still under warranty.

Yep, the site used to be owned by a chap called Ken Clarke, owned a disco shop down my end called "KC Electronics". Any problems you've got you should contact him on 07711 798147. Having said that though; a chap I know has had a few problems with owed money/goods from him etc. so good luck! :eek:

spoke to him yesterday- he was the one that was useless- didn't want to know at all.

About right, he lost a lot of money because of something that happened (not sure what) and set up mobile disco store as a sort of last resort to scrape the funds back in. Suffice to say it didn't work!

alas if a company has changed hands, they are not liable to honor current g-tees...as its not thier problem...having said that and with no malice intended...have dealt with the new company in the past and have to say they will be even worse when it comes to g-tees...trust me..bin there done that!
