Our distributor has advised they should be available between the end of January to mid-February.

Ian, I'll check tomorrow for an update, however when I spoke to the distributor before Xmas they were adamant about late Jan/early Feb

"shortly afterwards" is somewhat subjective, and possibly marketing speak to obtain more presales.

Did you had any problems legality-wise in the USA regarding computerised/digital DJing? ..... We've had so many problems over here (licensing issues) it's ludicrous! ..... and they're still not resolved! We don't have the 'fair use' laws over here that I think you have, so DJs aren't allowed to rip their CD collections without additional licences!

They are all under the same main site, but you need to be on the UK part (click on the Union Jack at the top to make sure). The actual URL is http://www.thomann.de/gb/index.html

I think their price for the Denon unit will be hard to beat, especially as it comes with Thomanns 3 year warranty.

Being out first does not always equate to success.
For example:

Numark HDCD1 = tanked
Numark HDX = tanked
Numark DVD01 dual DVD player = tanked

Pio DVJX1 = tanked
Pio DMP555 = tanked

Peavy PVDJ = tanked

...and by the way, we invented Next Track/File with crossfade

I have to say, I went to Olympia yesterday for the Sound expo and had a play. £720 was the show price from WESTENDDJ.com (I think??) on pre order and honestly I was not blown away. For me personally, I felt the jog wheel was to flimsy. Is there some way you can plug it in to a controler and play of something like the DNS 3500? That would be better. To small to feel like the real 12".

Then you did not get a good demo, but thanks for the feedback.

For me personally, I felt the jog wheel was to flimsy.

Same material used in the D6000/S1000/S3500
It needs to flex in order to obtain pin-point accuracy.
Dont confuse that with flimsy.

Is there some way you can plug it in to a controler and play of something like the DNS 3500? That would be better. To small to feel like the real 12".

If you require a 12" platter, then the HD2500 is not for you.
We did the best we can with the limited space and the 71mm Jog Disc design.
Although scratching is not what it’s purposed for, it does a pretty darn good job at it,even with a Jog Disc that small.

Actually, while you're on, a quick question for you. I recently bought a DN-X500 and used it last night for the first time and the headphone gain appears to be very low in comparison to the DN-X400 that I have been using.

If I use the split cue facility it seems to be a lot louder though.

Also, I don't seem to get a lot of output on the master channel - eg:, the lights don't seem to light up unless you are playing realy loud.

I noticed this with the 400 too, but not as much.

I had the master set to about 75% and the rotary controls on each channel to about 75% too and was only getting one led lighting up on the master.

You need to be playing at unity gain, meaning...

I always thought that aswell, having heard insistent arguments for both setups... now I'm starting to think it doesn't matter how you do it, so long as it sounds OK! Gonna have to start another thread in an attempt to find the answer
