did our last one on fri night- a wedding in bristol which i can categorically say is too far to go when you live in kingston, have to be there at 2pm, and don't play a single song until 11pm.
anyway, they hired a "proper" sound and light company to light the venue and provide multi room sound on a temporary radio frequency. i felt a little out of my league when i rocked up with my mirror ball.
despite all this, had a good (late) night and got a break until 5th Jan which is a white glove job anyway so not really proper work.
have a good break....

Last one for me tonight. Then back on it from thursday. Doing NYE this year as i didn't do it last year.
Its amazing how many local pubs to me have left it till the last minute to organise there music entertainment for NYE. Have had several phonecalls over the last couple of days.

Decided to have this weekend off as I've done a kids party on Monday morning and two daytime ballroom dances for a couple of elderly groups - and even played Santa midweek.
Was on standby last night as a mate I sometimes help out felt bad but he rang and decided he was ok so I just put the CDs and laptop away until NYE.
Have a gud 'un people!

Same for me too, I've had quite a few enquiries for NYE. I declined, I'd rather spend the evenings with friends and family.
Have a great Christmas everyone.

I had this years NYE booking ring me in October - sadly I'd taken another booking in March for NYE - so passed them onto a list of others.

i did an old fashioned ball last night with an excellent choir, it was in a very old victorian building and was very xmassy, the organiser along with the choir had the tables of guests sing verses of "the 12 days of xmas" it was comical to watch but i felt very seasonal and still do ...lol
tonight im doing a xmas party in a local pub, and then thurs 28th is my last xmas party (fancy dress). Ill get some pics for the gallery.

I finished a run of 10 'on the bounce' on Friday (plus other ones beforehand). I decided not to work last night and never do Christmas Eve anyway.
Off now until Thursday when we have a 'staff party' (with Uncle Steve) and then NYE.
Have a really good Xmas everybody, to you and all your families.:beer1:
