It has to be giving up smoking - again! coz this year I am going to have to stop anyway when the new laws come in.

Agreed, although I had planned this about 6 months ago, so not really a new year's resolution.

Don't make them so can't break them.

Plans for 2007 - get a new job as the current one is killing me, get my amateur radio gear set up at the house after living here for a year, look for more bookings and get out more when I can with the wife and kids in our motorhome as they are my world!

On a sad note, and not the best start to the year, my friend who was a dj for many years and done alot of kids parties, never smoked, never drunk lead a healthy life as he was a diabetic and knew and danced to all the cheesy stuff, dropped down dead on a gig last night at 1 min past midnight.....He was a bloddy nice chap.

So goes to show why live life like a saint, might as wll enjoy yourself.

RIP Dave Wiggins (Wiggies discos)

now iam going to try giving up smoking I gave up smoking with a tip from my dr. got Lidls and by ther 29p bottles of squash (altho sure others will work too) everytime you want a fag have a pint of orange juice instead (dont for get to dilute it !!!! )

after about 2 weeks cut down to half a pint then when youve had enough stop altogether

No withdrawal symptoms :):) apparently something in the orange juice rips out the nicotine and blocks the things that gives ya the cravings !!!!!!!!!!

can sit in room were people smoke and on teh whole it dont bother me - until i get home that is then its clothes in washing machine and straight in the bath !!!!!!!!!!!!!

RIP Dave Wiggins (Wiggies discos) my sympathies to his friends and families.

Im going to stop accepting venues with a sound limiter--if I am told about it:(

Mechanical or human sound limiters ( having encountered a big problem with a human sound limiter at an Xmas party  )

Bloody cheek, just bought some fags from Tescos, wanted to know if I wanted a quit smoking pack, I'll give up when i want to give up, not to have it rammed down my throat every time I buy fags.

rants over

Mike - the only person who will make you quit is you - no one else maybe if these idiots learned that lesson they may leave other people alone

Further to my previous post last nights gig was a good one and it was a NON SMOKING VENUE. That helped!

Good as my word---just sent someone the first quote of 2007 and said--

NO SOUND LIMITERS:eek:

Just got to get in the habit now:D

Is anyone BRAVE enough presently to actually put this on their Website ???

i.e. we dont play at venues with a Sound Limiter

I may do this--but dont want to be sued by Village halls that have them:mad:
