look cool, so would you ditch the old type lights and just run with these?

Not sure i know what you mean by "old type lights"??

Personally, if i were to have those heads, i'd want something a bit different as well to use with them - probably moonflowers to point at the dancefloor.

Personally i run a mixture of "old type lights" as well as moving heads with a couple of spins thrown in to fill.... Looks pretty good...

And when i say old type lights i'm refering to the likes of scans, barrells, moonflower effects such as EVL Spins etc.... the only difference is i have all discharge units rather than halogen... (other than the spins)....

As for the Stairville moving heads they are a fab budget moving head and know lots of people that are very happy with them. Can't really go wrong... 4 moving heads for under £1000....

You haven't seen any of my recent pictures then?

I have 4, and can use (depending on weight and size of effect) up to 4 more effects.

LOL :)

Spend a bit more on discharge then and they cut through the air and rubbish that floats in the air without the need for smoke or haze.... You can actually see the beams through the air really well!

I've not seen discharge heads, but I have to say that I never use smoke and mine do that too!

Dragonfly

to be honest i have 2 and master slave them .... they go on the floor either side set on show 3 (floor setting i thing) so they dont swing back and blind me and i think it looks great .

i have my dynamos inverted so they do the opposite of each other think it creates a nice looking show.

if they are good enough for a dj extraordinaire they are good enough for me lol

yeah, i was thinking of floor standing them infront of rig too. then keep the other lights, dynatwins, rovers, and moonflowers all above.

it looks really good i think pust a bit of light across your dancefloor too there is 3 settings on them i think floor , hung , and might be stage?? dont quote me on that one where the heads dont swing back behind you they always face the audience.

id quie like a dmx controller and at about 75 quid from thomman cant really grumble have the idea of using them as kind of spotlights for first dances etc ..... dont know if it would work but thought id try it .
