Hi all,
Bought a nice little light chaser yesterday,a Botex AC-4, a company I have never heard of so was a little cautious, But it seem a great little machine 4 channel with 19 diff program on a digital display. I note after Mapplin have started selling Botex and have a basic 4 channel controler for £19-99, sounds cheap but if mine is anything to go by, I say a thumbs up.

I've used one of those Maplin 4-ch jobbies for some months now - cheap but well built. No socketry on the back though... I had to make up some single-ended IEC leads, run them through glands which I had to supply, and join them to the PCB with screw-terminals. Passed PAT so I'm happy.

Works a treat. Gets a right bashing as the unit ends up in the crate with all the IEC leads and gangs.

Hi, Didn't realise there was no sockets on rear, the model I got as twin bulgin, old style though, have NJD 4000 this uses the new EVL so have to chop and change sometimes, oops here comes the missus:zip: .. Off out, speak later!

Botex make two different variations of every model of their chasers. One with bulgin output(s), and one with terminals. Maplin only sell the terminal one so as it can be used to chase anything that may not be already wired up with bulgin. Makes sense really as they don't sell anything that runs off bulgin!

I've had a look online and found some BOTEX manuals which say go to www.botex.com but this site seems to be longer live. I've not been able to track down a manual for this product or a direct website for the company.

Or maybe Botex isn't advertising directly as the products I've looked at are being sold by a supplier called Envirel.
