How did your Xmas disco,s go?
I did a corporate Xmas party on 22nd December the Theme was James bond and Gold.. gold because that was the name of the company product. It was Black Tie and the feel for the night was swing /jazz lounge lizard stuff. For background music over the meal played all the bond themes and every song I could find with GOLD in it........... also decided to play the Ratpack christmas tracks. A guy got up and came to see me and said" can you take this ****! off!" I said " its christmas songs for your christmas party and its background music!!!" ( volume of a large radio) He said " well its ****"!!!

What do you do? A christmas party everyone eating and talking the music just loud enough to give an atmosphere............

Anyone with similar experiences?

Just ignore them - you always get one like that.

Normally after a few drinks I might add....

I had a couple like that unfortunatly as the saying goes we have a job to do and at corporate gigs we do as we are instructed by the client not the p***** party goer. but we smile and get on with it

Yes had someone tell me Bing Crosbys "White Christmas" which I was playing early on as background music in a similar situation to the above was Music to slit your wrists to and to ****ing take it off.
Very festive attitude, I just carried on and watched everybody else have a great time.
It also made the repeat booking for next year that was made at the end of the night go down even better
