DJs sacked after 'wee death'

A California radio station has fired 10 employees, including its three morning disc jockeys, after a woman died following an on-air water-drinking contest last week.

The hosts of KDND-FM's "Morning Rave'' were fired on Tuesday, a day after the station said it was suspending the show and investigating the death of Jennifer Lea Strange.

Strange, 28, was one of about 18 contestants who tried to win a Nintendo Wii gaming console by seeing how much water they could drink without going to the bathroom. The show's DJs described the contest as "hold your wee for a Wii''.

As someone who has had a wonky bowel all my life:

a: I clearly wouldn't have anything to do with such a thing.

b: Know very well how unbelieveably stupid and potentialy dangerous to the body such a thing is.

But then everyone knows that. Don't they?

Yup. only in America :D

And they do have 'All you eat' restaurants. Says it all really.

Oh, I totally agree. I've never met a Canadian, but I've seen them on South Park, and they are incredibly different! :D
