DOES ANY ONE HAVE A SOLUTION TO CABLES RUNNING EVERYWHERE.
even though my riggin is pre wired and that causes no problem. i still find myself with spaghetti junction on the floor. cant think how to sort this out?

Pack in. That's about the only total solution. :eek:

Seriously, if you set the gear up same every time, then consider making up looms, by making the cables just a little longer than need and using some kind of cable tie (or tidy) to strap then together.

I prewired my rig and have a multicore terminated with a hoofing great multiplug at the gear end which has tails to the various controllers and mains - making one isn't for the faint hearted and you need to understand the implications of running high and low voltage cables together, especially in the same plug.

Cable ties are a cables best friend (after Gaffa tape):D

I've just finished creating a switch box that mounts on my goalpost stands its about 6 inches by 4 inches with 4 iec outputs and 1 iec input all switched and fused internally. It means I only have one cable go up the stands then I plug short cables from the light into switch box.
it also puts it all at my eye level, which is better than on the floor as I had done in the past. It is rated to 3200 watts at 13amp which was the highest i could make it with available components. Each switch can switch up to 10a 1000 watts. I'm using 3 spitter cables and a single cable off it to power my rig of 7 light effects which I use the most. Im making another one to power the rest when I have to use a bigger rig. I used it all night on friday with about 2800 watts going through it and the cables and box stayed cool all night.
Its a little more sophisticated than a loom but took a while to make. Now its done im really impressed with the lack of cables. I was using 8x 6-10 meter iec cables. Now I use one and a couple of short leads carrying about 15 kilos less cabling and I can now rig and derig a lot quicker than before.
Really wish i'd done this before now.
