Deck upgrade American Audio MCD-710 MP3 CD

Hi guys,
Am wanting to upgrade from my current decks,

My local shop is doing the American Audio MCD-710 MP3 CD with a Q2422mk11 mixer,
in a lightweight pu flt case for £549.

any views on the set up ? As i've not used american audio before.

What decks have you got now? I vaguely remember American Audio being something to do with soundlab??? but could have just imagined that. They aren't a Pro audio make thats for sure and obviously they are not going to be as reliable, as well built, as user friendly etc as Denon's for example but its all about what your budget is.

Are you planning to go down the laptop route in the near future or do you want this system to last you a few years?

At the mo i'm running a Numark cdmix2 which has served well but is starting to play up a bit with sticking cd trays.

Budget wise looking around the £500-600 mark, not going to laptop in the near future so can see these needing to last 2-3yrs

I'd not heard alot about american audio hence the thread!

American Audio is good mid-market kit, I used the Q2422 mk1 for about four years without any problems and I know a few people who use the cd players who are well pleased. Not related to Soundlab.

right i have american audio decks at present and there the worst thing i've ever seen they jump skipp sometimes dont read proerly and i will be replacing them soon and they are only just under a year old..

Personally i would go wih something like a dennon setup as i think thats what im going to do.

and by the way american audio are distributed by prolight
