Shame about the **** poor officiating in the first half, how many penalties should Wales have had? (Never mind that penalty try that was blatantly ignored) Just in case today's Ref ever reads this forum......YOU WERE NOT OFFICIATING ON THE SUPERBOWL. I don't mind who won today (9 - 19 Ireland), it was a cracking match & given the second half Ireland deserved the win

However what I do find fault with is the crap officials. Case point Ref one side, linesman the other, Irish player tackles Welsh player who hasn't even got to the ball yet. If the Welsh player had got to the ball (only a matter of feet from the line) a try would have been a certainty, he would've got the ball if the Irish player hadn't performed an illegal tackle. The rules call for a penalty try to be awarded, or at the very least a penalty. What did we get? Nothing!!!!! There was an official both sides of the incident FGS!!!!!!!!

may have been that bit although im sure a very objective unbias impartial view of the facts and incidents within the game :D :D :D

If it had been a Welsh player fouling an Irish one it would have still been crap officiating. 2 officials both of whom should have seen the incident, neither did.

I could understand it if it were just down to the ref, one person can't be expected to be infallible, but 2 should have been able to have seen it. Especially as it took place about a foot away from the ball which their attention should have been in the general vascinity of.

Watching the mighty (not so mighty this season!) Bedford Blues I am amazed at how often touch judges to not see things - or at least alert the ref to them!! It's Nat Div One so you would expect the quality of ref-ing to move up a notch or 2 for internationals.

I've been to a couple of ref evenings (where the ref comes to the club and gives a talk and answers questions regarding the laws) which are meant to build relationships between the refs and supporters. Before the game they tell their touches how much input they want, some refs will ask for very very little but others will ask for alot of help. I didn't see much of the game yesterday so can't really comment on it. Would have liked to have seen Wales win yesterday (NOT the whole Six Nations:p ) as our coach is a Welsh supertsar - Mike Rayer!!


On the issue of 6 nations - do you think Argentina should join the comp??

I ask as the Pumas are playing Northampton on Wednesday (Sky Sports - if you have it). I'm not sure if either team are putting out a first / full strength team but would be interesting to see how they get on.

I agree with what you say.

I think the majority of the Pumas play for clubs over here (teams in the 6 nations) so that's why they pushing for them to be allowed to join, as the players are all in Europe.

Just unlucky this year, we came within a gnats of being the only draw yesterday. The french are by far the best team this year & deserved the win.

I Don't think France are the best team in the Tournament , yes they beat Ireland but only just , Ireland threw the game away and remember Ireland didn't field a full strength team against the French. Ireland do look good at the moment and I just hope they can retain their form for the World Cup.
