So I have seen some adapters for non DMx lights and I was wondering if they are worth getting to add to a DMX controller? I only have a few lights that are DMX and the rest are regular. I was wanting to switch to DMX and need to know if it is really possible to do?

What the adapters do is link lighting to dmx by simply turning them on or off via dmx signal. So works fine for pars, but other effects may gain nothing from it. Doesnt stop you from planning a sequence of running for the lights though.

I presume you are relating to switch packs? I think they're a great idea, and would never put a par can/pin spot on a switch pack (dimmers only - you need to warm up those lamps!!).

You could then programme your lighting desk to turn on specific lights plugged into the switch pack for different parts of your show. If I used non-DMX lights, then I would do it myself.
