At the end of the day you get what you pay for & even Skytec would be OK for cab the size of the stagepas, as long as you don't over tighten the screws cheaper stands can last well, if taken care of.

A piece of plastic or metal that the pole of the stand fits into to hold it in place in the speaker. Usually internal (all you see from the outside is a donut shape screwed to the base of the speaker) which resembles a top hat, hencethe name. External ones don't look so much like their namesake & bolt onto the speaker rather than being inset.

The Stagepas have their own special ones. Whoever sells the Stagepas usually sells the tophats as well

They are fairly essential if you want to put the speakers on stands.

Otherwise you'll have to start drilling an cutting holes in the cabs for internal ones and because of the size of the cab I wouldn't recommend that!

Each speaker's Weight: 40 lbs. (18 kg). You will need this adapter Yamaha Mic Stand Adapter For S15 BMS10A. This will mount the mixer to a mic stand. This is for the speakers. The ADP138 allows mounting of the STAGEPAS 300 speaker system to standard 1-3/8" (35mm) tripod stands or poles. Mounting screws are already installed in the speaker systems for this purpose. It cost me $9.99, the mic stand adapter cost me $19.99. As for a tri pod. i have several. I use a heavy duty if there is going to drinking and dancing. If its jsuta boyscouts or speech thing i use the lighter duty poles. I use Oddesy and Ultimate brands. Any sol8id poles will work though.

I wouldn't put anything heavier than a microphone on a mic stand. Unless you are actually going to use the mixer, as opposed to just using the Stagepas as powered speakers, there is no need to remove it from the speaker cab.

This is true unless you are there to run the sound and make sure when they drop the mic off the table you can kill the feedback before they all look at you like your the idiot. I go with my gear I dont rent stuff out. I run a small snake its a 50 foot 8 channel. So I will take the mixer out of the speaker and handle it that way. I do use the mic stand adapter for some jobs. When I do family B-Day parties and there isnt enough room for any one of my big systems I will use this system and mount the mixer on my axeman mic stand. So far is has worked out great, never had it fall once. I do spread the legs way out to make sure it doesnt get knocked over. I am really liking the Stagepas 500. I may pick one of those up here soon.
