Business cards

can anyone recommend a company who can supply cheap business cards to my spec in small numbers for a affordable price? i got quoted £55 +vat for 250 cards but that sounds steep to me,all it had was disco name, 60s 70s 80s and phone number,Admititly the Os was replaced with 45S but it still sounded expensive, what price are you guys paying?

I think i paid about £40 inc. for 500. Full colour front, b&w backed and my own designs uploaded.

I do my own cards and have them printed for me. I paid $50.00 for 1000 cards. I did my designs in Microsoft Publisher. Nothing to fancy but it gets the job done. I had to covert it to jpeg so it doesnt look as good as it should.

I use vistaprint too. Sign up for the mail and wait for the offers. If you use the free prints, you can only get 250 for a good price. If you wait for the 80% off, you can ordinarily order 1000 for really cheap.

I got 1000 double sides colour cards with my own logo uploaded for £30ish.

This morning I ordered 250 request slips, 1 side color, 1 side b/w for £9.56 delivered.

Great price.

... I have just taken delivery of business cards from MKK, double sized full colour. As I designed them myself and just emailed them the artwork, they charged me...

£80 for FIVE THOUSAND. Inc. VAT and delivery. They are superb quality (double sided, full colour), turnround within a week --- and no I am not related to / sleeping with / a stooge of Matt!

I have used Vista Print before. They are good, well priced and fast. I currently use a local printing shop. I have also used Kinko's. I dont think you have a Kinko's Copy Print center over there. It is better to design them yourselves. So get on your PC and have at it already. I know you all have idea's rollign around in your heads. I do cards through my web design company. www.hightowerwebdesign.com . To save yourself money, just do them yourself.

Personally my advise is unless you really can't afford other wise stay away from the likes of vista print and the online business cards and home made designs.....

Why have a card that many other people have (in the likes of vistaprint?)

IN my personal opinion it just makes you look cheap, cowboy like and not too fussed on presentation and style.....

Don't forget presentation is a key element in our business. We all take pride in our set-ups and having neat and tidy cables etc so why scrimp on one of the very things people will look at for contact details.

What does a free / cheap / or home made business card possibly with free at (add printing company here) printed on the back say about you to the potential client.

And no offence meant here callum but the 2 posted although very good they do look home designed rather than professionally designed... although they are better than some of the designs i've seem floating around.

There really is no need to scrimp on getting professional cards designed and printed when you can get 5000!!!! designed and printed for around £100 delivered to your door.

Yes very true. But vista print also charge per picture / logo added... I know someone that once designed his own using the vista print website and by the time he'd added his logo and a couple of pictures by the time he got to the checkout it worked out to be around £50 for 500....
