The 215's for big set, and CD15N's under Eurosys 3's for small one. I have to say that the small rig has exceeded expectations. If I only had bigger amps it would be superb. If I had to recommend a system I would suggest CD15N subs and CD 128-1 tops if money was tight. CD158-1 tops would probably be preferable if funds allowed.

I have had no experience of these, but it would appear that the CD15SP are aimed at the higher end market. Also, the 215's have been upgraded to
500w, with new internals.

When i went to get my 158's they had some of what he called 'B class' - same as post #25.
Ex-demo, show room with no guaranteed......he offered them to me for £130.

Now as i was just starting out......i wanted the guaranteed.......
Good old 'Murphys law'....i've never had to use the guaranteed....so i should have gone for the other pair........£130.........i still kick myself to this day!!

The subsequent CD15N's were also £60 below advertised price. I'm not bragging, just pointing out that it is worth asking for shop soiled/B-class! ;) :D

BTW may I say that mine get pushed very hard on occasion. I recently played versus a band who possessed my dream PA. They had Peavey 215 subs, and Hisys 4XT tops, very battle-scarred , but one amp each. I was running two pairs
Class-D 215's, so same 15" speaker count, the band had more Db's available, but I apparently had a lot more bass response. Don't know if the band could have upped theirs, but I was a happy little bunny, as my PA must have cost about £2,000 less than theirs!:D :D :D :D :D

I understand what you are saying, but I'm guessing that with around 3K of total PA the bassist was plugged into that. I don't expect a 4x12" cab at the back of the band to deliver enough to compete with the PA. To be pedantic, and strictly accurate, for bass read low frequency.

I am ashamed to say that have tried to hide my affiliation, with Peaveys and Mackies.

But nevertheless I stick by my CD 158's to back them up any day.

Errr, how do they work that out? I suppose it's a decent little system for the price, although very inefficient at 94db.
