UV Lighting what would you buy/own

Hi,

I did do a search first.

Im looking at buying a UV light next again for home use.

Whats your thoughts on value for money against up to the job?

Should be OK for a small room I would have thought.

I used to use a 40w blacklite tube for disco work and that was fine.

I would steer clear of UV cannons though. There have been posts on other forums about the lamps exploding

And unless you get the get the bigger one, they're rubbish.

I bought a 160w one and the tube was more effective.

I've got some tatty old 4ft fittings booting around and a mixture of the thin tubes and the good 'ole 1inch thick jobbies :D
About 2miillion years old going strong, they only seem to stop working if they get smashed:D
Don't forget that UV Canons are directional so will focus the effect rather than it just be everywhere like wot a tube does, so may appear less powerful.

I own the Chauvet Shadow 125 and it works rather well the dispersion of the light is about 75 feet long and about 30 feet wide. The only thing you need to remeber is that it take 10 or 15 minutes to warm up. I have heard some good things about this new one from Chauvet. Its called the LED Shadow. here are some specs.
