How do you stop drinks being laid on your table????

I must have had around 12 drinks laid on my table during the gig last night with varying degrees of nervousness.Pints etc.
This seems to be something we just have to put up with but I'm looking for advice from the "Old Hands".
I thought about putting up a sign but it's possibly
A:Unfriendly and
B: They'll be too drunk to pay attention!

Help please???!!!

simple... don't use a table, or have a booth surround, so there's nowhere for people to place bottles/glasses

I always remove the drinks and place them on neighbouring tables, always does the trick. If punter get shirty just tell them I didn't want to knock it over so i moved it.

I also have nowhere for them to put their drinks - I use my own stands, not tables from within the venue. Used to have people put them on my bass bins, and if I didn't get to them in time they would be literally 'shaken' off!

There's not much you can do really because drunk people..

A. Don't listen to you if you tell them not to do something, and
B. Don't read signs, and if they do, they don't care what it says!

I tend to just make an announcement at the beginning of the night stating that people are NOT aloud to place drinks on the DJ gear and also when dancing please be careful not to fall in to the DJ either. Common one that is! The drunk guy trying to make a request!!

I dont give them anywhere to put drinks, I even put the moving heads on speakers to stop them placing them there. So i never have this problem.

Or my other main problem is people falling over my bose ps1 stand, i'm serious thinking of having some sort of cover made for it. At the moment I put 2 led pars at the base of it but it tends to look a bit phallic!
