Hi all,
Does anyone have any suggestions for software that i can use to record all my tracks and what cd they are on etc.
I currently have some free software i'm trying but it does my head in having to type in all the names.
Does anyone know of any software that i can use and just drag the music i have on my computer to it, for all the information. As i use Cds for gigs, but still have it on itunes for personal use. (if you catch my drift)

Do a search for Visitrax
The lite version is freeware I believe...with the option to pay for an upgrade.
CATraxx is another popular database.

We use Music Collector. Have a look at the collectorz.com (http://www.collectorz.com/) website :D

Hi, I think Visitrax is what i use now ..but the free version only takes 1000 songs and you have to type them all in

Hi there
I have a program you may be interested in, it’s totally free and very cool (I would say that as I wrote it), the DJ Records and requests Program, it is designed to catalogue all your CDs and Records on to a Database, its very easy to use, features include
Adding tracks manually
Import them from CSV files
And best of all add them via the CDBD.
Search by Artiste, track title, and Album
It has be design with real time usage if you carry a laptop around at you gigs, you can search for your tracks and put them in a “request” list so you don’t have to remember everything, when taking a request you can add who it’s for, who asked for it and any message that goes with it.
The program is totally FREE and has NO LIMITS on how many tracks can be added.:D
There is one problem, I can’t tell you where it is, this may sound strange as I wrote it! If I told you where is was I would be breaking this forums rules as if can only be download from a site where a sell another program I wrote (also for DJs), and I have already been told off this week for advertising this site, so don’t want to get told off again.
All I can say is if you did a UK search on Google for a program that may or may not have anything to do with taking bookings for DJs and creating contracts, you may or may not come across a site that has a link at the bottom of it, sorry to be so vague but I don’t want to get in trouble again
