Considering buying one of these star cloths but cant quite seem to get my head around the fact they are about over £500 for the basic ones. What makes them so special?

They look a lot better and give a more upmarket appearance to your show.

I've used the S&H one and also the skirt and the S&H looks much better, covers all your gear and has much nicer material which hangs better.

I was going to buy a booth, but I found it to be very heavy and not very manageable and it is big.

dont like them personaly! i perfer to work "open fronted" go i can get into the audance if required and can get people up to me easy if required
however this is all personal opinion

something like that lol

they do look decrotive and personaly think there better than screens but i feel better without having a barrier between myself and the audiance.
each to there own tho!

How do you set your gear up then - to the side?

yeah, when possible a truss across the stage at the font and a table on the right hand side on about a 45 degree angle so i can see everything thats going on but have plenty room for the ladies to come up ;) and join me on the stage.

never realy had that problem but suppose it happens regardless! at least this way i dont have anyone barging into my gear lol

You're right, it is big BUT it looks effective and is mounted on a fold-up metal stand. The cloth itself is fire retardent and is, in my opnion, great value for moeny (and the clients love it !)

WOW - Just had a look at the ShowLED Animation video. Now that would make an awesome backdrop to your disco.

Wouldn't dare call and ask how much that costs, but anyone got an idea - just so i can dream!!!!

Have looked at these a few times and the S&H ones are cheaper I think. Once worked a venue with another jock who did have one and he said that it actually gets him business as it looks pukka....

If 'we' approached someone like S&H 'en-masse' and said we want to buy ** number, we should be able to get a good discount rate surely...?

Count me in for one...
