Fancy Dress

Good Afternoon All,

I have got a 40th party and it is fancy dress.

My question to you all is this:-

Would/do you enter into the spirit and get dressed up as well or would you leave it to the guests??

I've nothing against DJ's that like to dress up in costume for the occasion. Personally, I don't. I prefer to leave it to the guests.

I've always asked the customer to see what they want, an I've found 100% of the time, its a yes, so I'm always dressed for the part :party1:

Possibly. It's really just a preference thing for me.

I normally wear nice embroidered t-shirts with the company name on them.

I've never had a customer specifically request that I dress in costume.

Interesting question, to which there is no right or wrong answer.

My thoughts: The fancy dress theme relates to the guests, not the staff.

I wouldn't expect the doormen or bar staff staff to be in fancy dress, as they are not guests, but are WORKING there, and the same applies to the DJ.

I also feel more comfortable working in my normal clothes rather than some fancy outfit, so I wouldn't dress up (unless, of course, the client requested me to do so).

Maybe I'm just a party pooper! :D

Not quite, LoL but its all a good laugh, and people are alot more relaxed and up for a good time when in fancy dress. I always find I get at least twice as many requests too when doing fancy dress parties.
