Oldest Gear You are still using

I'm sure we did this thread a few years ago, but it's still interesting never the less.

Nearly all my kit has been upgraded (and then some) in the last few years, but I still own a case for my cables that I must have had for 20 years.

ANyone using anything particularly old?

20 years .... that could have been my school bag when i was 10. i hate old stuff the oldest thing ive got is my datamoons about 5 now and more back up now or just to take something different out.

Oldest thing stil in use are probably my technotronic moon flowers, must be about 15 - 18 years old now, only replaced bulbs on them twice (2 per unit) replaced a stepping motor on one and a new i.e.c socket on another. Gave them a respray about 6 years ago and replaced a single mounting screw that was a bit battered.
Still going strong and look as good as the day I bought them. (minus a few minor dents , scratches, and the peeling label on the back

My wooden console case is the first one i ever bought, probably about 6 years ago now. Used various cases in between but then came back to using it about a year ago.

I guess the oldest thing in my listing is me. I am 36.....OMG!!!!!!
I have a American DJ Dual Gem and an original American DJ Vertigo that I guess both are around 10 years old . I also have a hand truck or dolly that is around 7 or 8 years old.

Personally (my usual rig), my ultimax stand (7 years) & my mixer (3).

We've still got an NJD Logic 4004s light contoller in service with one of the smaller rigs (9 years)

For me, guess some of the CD's are a few years old. Equipment wise, probably my SM58S mic which is about 10 years old.

I have the original iec lead from my fal deck, same fuse and everything (earth got reconnected on it in 1989 after hum problems solved). I still try to use it on something, a light, smoke machine, just for nostalgia's sake. plus its biege!

The oldest bit I use are my FAL boxlights, similar set to those pictured elswhere in the forum. They are about 25 years old, but I've only owned them for about 19 years. They don't go out with the rig, but always if it's a icke job where a rig won't fit, such as the pub I covering next Saturday!
The next oldest which is in use every single time I DJ is my mic. It is a Beyer Dynamic TGS series mic, about 17 yrs old now and as good as they day it was bought.

The oldest part of my set up is my SM58, which is now 15 years old.

It has a few dents where it's been dropped, but works perfectly...they are still the best mikes you can buy!

Still using my old Discomaster which was converted to run cd's and has a 250 watt amp a side in it, and an Citronic Avon Mk2 with Garrard turntables, both of these I take out for 70s and 80s nights, both are serviced and very reliable, can't say i play much vinyl now but I do keep a box of 45s with me when i use those mostly for effect.

2 Fuzz lights from our original setup probably dated 1989 ish, and a sure Dynamic circa 1974.

Amazingly serviced and cleaned all this still works pretty good, other items or relics if you like are two Martin ministars and some spot boxes from i would say the 80s, most of this stuff i inherited from another DJ some years ago.

I've got an old Compacta Lighting controller that I still use for kiddies discos, this is at lease 20 years old- still going strong, pops a triac now and again, but pretty relible.
