I'm after a good price for 1 maybe 2 Green Diodes for my E.U. gx40 laser units......any surgestions..??

you could always try giving eu lights a bell, there service department may send you the parts direct,
if not let me know and i shall see if i can get them for you

been in touch with E.U. they want £117.50 inc. each laser to supply and fit diode & diode board..... more than i was expecting....

sounds about right im afraid.
green laser diodes aint cheap (well not at 20mw up over)
then you are getting service charge on there as well and vat.

thinking of ditching gx40's in favour of prolight laser.....does everything an E.U. lazer will do at a fraction of the price......for what i originally paid for my gx40's could have bought twin 60mw green prolight laser and still had change in my pocket and if the diodes going to faze out in 12 - 18 months i have nothing to loose.....
sorry but it has to be said for what you pay for an E.U.lazer i would expect with the gentle handling and love & care mine get that the diode would last a bit longer...or be cheaper to replace,don't mind £50 - £60 a diode but £100 plus is a rip off....

have you seen how much design and health and safety regs go into a laser?
when using something that could potently blind someone (20mw or more form what i have been told, 10mw or more is green)
is it worth cutting corners and going for the cheapest?
you do get what you have paid for remember.
new prolight lasers are coming out at the end of april! so hold off untill then!
