Got a call yesterday that started off..."do you like indian food?".

A local indian take-away restaurant is selling advertising space on thier menus..LOL. For only £5 per week I could be a lucky advertiser on thier menus :lol:

They even offered me discounts on any take-a-way meal I purchased from them if I advertised on thier menus.

So..."Do I ike Indian food?"

YES!, but not that much.

The canvassing advertising calls I'm receiving lately are getting stranger and stranger.

do you know what ...... id do that ..... ive kept loads of takeaway menus in a drawer for when we need one and periodically they get pushed through every door in the town ....

Lol thats a good one that. There is some chancers around these days my local chippi just opend about a month ago and i asked to put some cards up and he said yes no problem what about £10 leave some cards and put a poster up in the window pml NO THANKS JUST A FISH SUPPER PLZ lol.

I'd have thought the best people to advertise on Indian restaurant menus would be manufacturers of toilet paper! :p

Stop and think abou this one for a minute....

It's actually not such a bad concept - maybe not at that price, but almost everyone I know keeps the take away menus, even pinning them up on the notice board. How much is that sort of long term advertising worth. After all, a local newspaper goes in the bin after a week.

It just screeeaaams "TACKY" to me. I don't really want to be associated with fast food. I like to think of myself as more of a "gourmet banquet" service. :D

If any high class restaurants are looking to sell advertising space...I might be interested ..lol.
