Best/most effective way to dry out cds??

Erm I have a friend :D :D who rather sillily left a box of cds outside on monday while unloading from the previous evenings gig :D :D after two days solid rain in the back garden they are all a little on the damp side :D :D erm ...... my friend was just wondering if anyone had any special tricks for making them unwet :D :D my friend would be most grateful for any suggestions. :D :D

Probably best to find a flat surface like a table, put a cotton sheet over it, then lay the discs out onto it playing-side down.

When they're dry you'll probably need some anti-static "screen cleaner" or similar and give them a wipe with a lint-free cloth (or very soft kitchen roll I find works OK - not your cheapie stuff mind) to take any water marks away.

If you have isopropal alchol you can dip them in it and it will remove moisture. Or if you have a jml disk cleaner it does the smae thing. The alchol displaces the water and it dries in air in seconds

I bought one of these for when I buy secord-hand CD's. It works quite well for what it is..........

Is probably the simplest and least likely to do any harm, unless the sun is *really* hot, which isn't about to happen.....
I wouldn't use chemicals and avoid wiping them with anything other than cotton wool.
If he has the time to let them dry naturally, that's the best way. Open the cases and if the inserts are damp and stuck, just leave them like that till they dry.
