please let us know your thoughts on these babys, something we have never seen until now.

A great replacement from the old STD smoke machines.

you will only need one of these. it has a 7 metre distance. and moves a full 360 degrees.

these are very impressive. and are somthing different for the industry.

Have seen them advertised before and was very intrigued. Good idea in principle but I feel they are probably out of reach for most mobile discos.

As said before - a lot of places no longer allow the use of smoke machines so not many people will have the luxury of splashing out so much on something they might very rarely get to use.

Can see them being popular on the club scene with venues installing them as they attempt to make a feature of the use of smoke which i've seen a few trying to do - using smoke at key moments as part of the lighting show for a dance set. But can't see many mobile djs shelling out on them.

Yes, these are about £999 upwards

but we are hoping to bring out the purelight brand of these shortly.

should be a bout £399 RRP. so a lot cheaper, keep an eye out in approx 1-2 months time

I just cannot see the point of these at all.

If you wanted to get the smoke or haze to spread then use 2 machines, one on each side, and even then you'd need a pretty big venue to justify it.

even if you have 4 normal smoke machines, they are not capable of doing what this does, these bull fog machines can give instant smoke in every direction within 3 seconds.

they have a large spread also of 7 x 7 x 7 metres

Fair enough, but how many of us need smoke in every corner of the room in 3 seconds?

Is there ever a rush to get a room filled with smoke for most mobiles?

It just seems a pointless effect for mobiles. Stage production and theatre use maybe, but mobiles?

I completely agree.

I dont even take my smoke machine out now, because you can't use them in 90% of venues, as they set off the fire alarms.

Marquees are pretty much the only place you can use them.

I reckon that is your market. Installs and clubs/theatres, bigger venues which have isolaters on their fire alarms (or just heat sensors)!!

You'll obviously get the odd over-sized mobile disco *cough* Jamie *cough* who will also find them useful :)

the tank!! if you buy one of these units, you will get a free hanging bracket. that can attach to the truss. this holds your fluid in place. then you will get a tube coming from the machine to the fluid basket. just like a normal smoke machine

Big deal! Of limited use without the flexibilty of a 'put anywhere' tank.
Bit like buying a car and the engine is an optional extra, yes it will move without, but a bit limited.:D

Yes it is. Another reason why it's not very suitable for mobiles!!

Why would you want to direct smoke back towards the dj. I think they are a waste of money. I will stick with my good old smoke machine. Does the job very well.

great in a large club in my opinion but not much use to a mobile dj considering the size of venues many of us play in and the type of rigging many of us use. would need to be quite high up i think to avoid the "oh my god the whole buildings on fire effect"

on the over size rig thing will lolol would love to have a look see at jamie and rig in action its the ultimate "when i grow up i want to be just like that" thing for me neway.
