Easy - small claims court
I know you are very new to the forum, but if you can spare £1 per month, you can sign up as a MDD supporter and post in the supporters section of the forum. This is only viewable by paid up supporters so topics like this can be discussed.

If I was in your shoes, I would arrange to send him letter from a solicitor advising that you would commence legal action if payment was not received within 7 days.
If I heard nothing, I would then follow it up with a claim through the small claims court.

Go here https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp
Much easier than small claims and it tells you exactly what to do.

On the subject of members titles, I am wondering if there is a magician here.....because up until a couple of days ago I was a "member" - and I've suddenly been turned into a "senior member"
Was there a board meeting where it was decided I am worthy of this promotion? or is just that (as I suspect) you are upgraded automatically after a certain time or a certain number of posts?

You suspect correctly: after 100 posts you automatically become a senior member.... that doesn't mean that there AREN'T magicians here ;) - just not at work on this particular occasion :) :)

Slightly off topic but................
I had a very upset lady on the phone Saturday morning saying she had been let down by a company and could I help.
I did her party for her and she was so pleased as was all the mums
(3yr old party)
I have already recieved 5 parties from it.
so it just goes to show that if you put yourself out it pays rewards.
