How has the site changed?
I think the navigation used to be down the left, now it's across the top.

IIRC all the page content used to be text embedded in images as well, so that's a big improvement!

Nice gallery :D

I’m gonna be a bit harsh here hope you don’t mind.
Personally in my honest opinion I think your site needs a bit of work done to it. Get someone to re-word your site as it looks as if a young teenager has wrote it for you and doesnt come across proffesional.
You need to add more info to your website i.e. do you only do kid’s parties? Can you do weddings?
I like your gallery and the quotes page that looks fine. Overall maybe change the colour of your site as black and dark purple is very hard to read.

I agree with Dragon Fly your prices are too cheap don’t sell yourself short you know how much your services are worth go with it.

I hope you don’t mind the feedback. Good luck. :o

not harsh at all subsonic well thought out tactful comments in my opinion . and id agree totally , thing to remember is callum is a young teenager lol and while i understand that you want to do as much as possible yourself (im totally the same ) theres no harm in asking for some guidance then make the changes yourself... again what i have done ... my site is far from perfect some might say awful i have had nice comments from clients about it though and i have had some advice on it but the work has been all mine. and it does its job.

Sorry my mistake, the reason for my teenager comment was I saw a lady running a disco on the gallery page and thought she was the owner... :bang:

Not a comment on the website but after looking through the gallery, get your speakers up off the floor if possible! Will make such a difference to the sound!

I agree with the comments about more content...

If I had logged on wanting to know details, I would be very disappointed.

When you click on the Gallery link at the top, the menu system swaps back to being at the side and not at the top.

The gallery loads nicely, I like that, but take a look at the pictures and put yourself in the shoes of a potential client - Would you book the system you see in that picture?

If the picture doesn't do you justice, don't use it..... Theres no point in clogging up your page with pictures just for the sake of it, only put them there if they are beneficial.

Also - What makes you Officially the best? And the best at what? As a pain in the backside, I'd want to know if I was booking you.

Also, I agree with the re-write comment. The homepage should reflect a real professional image....

Instead of saying Hello and welcome to CB Entertainments. We specialise in doing children’s parties but we have been known to do other parties. We have over 4 years of experience of doing children’s parties. So we have plenty of experience.

We also do primary schools and high schools

Why not say something like:

Welcome to the home of CB Entertainments, one of Scotlands leading entertainment companies. We have many years experience, especially at Childrens Parties which are our speciality.

We can cover all types of functions in the Scottish Borders region, including Weddings, Birthday Parties, Anniversaries and any other reason for a party.

- or words to that effect.. If you have pat/pli this is where to add that in...

Also, on the About Us page, reword - The company is owned by a enterprising young gentleman, We supply everything you need to get the entertainment side of things under way. Our prices just start at £20!*

*Travailing times and distance charges may apply

to something like:

Although a relatively new company, CB Entertainments have been entertaining audiences for over 4 years, so you are guaranteed a professional, fun filled evening.

CB Entertainments is owned and ran by an enterprising young man, Your Name, who realised when trying to obtain the entertainment for his own party, that there was a need for a quality outfit to operate in the Scottish Borders and was quick to take up the challenge.

With a real love of all things music and relishing the challenge of keeping the customers happy, CB Entertainments have ensured they maintain the balance of customer demands and entertainment delivery to reap an enviable reputation with their clients.

Again, or words to that effect...... But do put your prices up.....

Other than that, add more nice words to pages and, with your links page, specifiy why those links are there.....

Whats in it for the person who is looking, if they are not a DJ?

Anyways, I have to pop out but hope this helps..

The images wouldn't load for me. The thumbnails show up fine, but I'm left with a white box with no image when I click on the thumbnail?.

Works for me....it's based on a similar technique that your gallery uses, Shaun, so should be fine....

Maybe it's just you - been blue-screeening again recently?

They shoot horses, don't they? :D

I've got a spare machine here, is only a dual PIII 600 I think, was my 2nd machine 'you know where' so that tells you how old it is.....but if you're really stuck!

Thanks Marc,

I may take you up on the offer if this keeps playing up. I really need an upgrade. two choices...

1: Upgrade the PC
2: new head gasket for the 4x4.

The 'wife's' already made the decision for me.....the upgrade will have to wait :(

Marc J

You forgot the third option: -

3: Upgrade the wife :)

Worked for me :D :zip:

Anyways, I have to pop out but hope this helps..I don't think that Tonsk was suggesting that you copied his wording verbatim! You need to keep it truthful to you: ie How much experience do YOU have? What made you go into this is the first place? (presumably Tonsk didn't have a lucky guess suggesting that it was as a result of you trying to arrange your own party). He was just giving you ideas of how you could put things across.
