Ive registered my Disco / Karaoke / Casino business in my local book under wedding entertainment. When I done that, yell have contacted me by phone offering advertising packages but I declined them cause im spending my marketing budget on website advertising.

Since that, i've got loads of sales calls hasstling me to buy phonelines, directory space and even scams looking for my account details ::bang: bang:

Has anyone else on the forum had this kind of bother with yell?

I've heard that there is a number you ring to get your phone number off the register?

Thanks

Have a look here: http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/

They now also have CTPS for business numbers, as well as the old TPS for private numbers :D :D :D

yep probably everyone lol used to use google adwords thats another good way for people to get your details to try and sell you things .... and whats worse with that..... it costs you when they click on the link....

you can register with someone to stop people using your details for sales purposes the name and website escapes me at present. im sure someone else will post it .... since i dropped my adwords camaign though the sales calls have dropped by a huge amount 2 per day on average to 2-3 a week now.

i personally will not be renewing my yellow pages ad as like yourself i am going fully internet based with my business..... next years budget will be going on ....

a web person to optimise/redesign/change my site
online entertainment directories
3 or 4 wedding shows.

crikey that Ange can type quick lol

You mean to say you've not had your local newspapers asking if you want to be part of Advertising features yet or "wish to increase your advertising coverage"?
