Replacement for KAM GMX5 Mk II mixer?

I'm building a 2nd console to use as a spare, and looking for a replacement mixer for the KAM GMX5 Mk II in my main console, as this has been obsolete for some years now.

It needs to be 19" & 4u, with 4 music channels & gain controls above each fader, and I don't really want to spend more than £150.

I was looking at the Numark CM100, which seems to meet my requirements.

Please can I have opinions on the CM100, and/or any suggestions for other mixers which you recommend.

Have you looked at the Numark 200fx ? seems a very popular choice of mixer thesedays. I have one myself and find it very useful for both karaoke and disco...

It has 4 individual channels with 3 band EQ and gain controls (think it's 6 inputs plus mic in total as channel 3 and 4 have 2 inputs and a switch) and a mic channel with connection on the front.... All the 4 channels can also accept mic inputs so in effect if you really wanted to you could have any number of mixes between mics and playout beinf totally flexible for most occasions...

When i bought mine it was around £175 so it might have come down in price by now as i bought it last year......

It looks good...the only negative is that I don't need the effects, but it's a strong possibility, and nice to see an on/off switch for the mike...something the KAM GMX5 Mk II didn't have, which was my only gripe.

Not a problem if you use a switched mic

I know Steve...but my SM58 mike did NOT have a switch!

I overcame the problem by finding an iec connector for the mike which had a built in rotary switch.

I'm sure I'm not the only one without a switched mike, so I was surprised there wasn't a switch on the GMX5 mixer.

Apart from it being illegal and failing the PAT test (see separate thread) the lack of a mike witch was really annoying to me on the Numark CM100 too.

the cm200fx has a mic switch, i ve just bought a citronic 4.2x which performs as well as the numark but has the benefit of a video switch
