As I've mentioned I'm looking at moving to the UK around April 2008. I'm just curious as to what period the UK Wedding Season covers. In NZ 90+% of the weddings happen between our Labour Weekend (last weekend of October) and Easter (mid-April, usually).

Then it's quiet until the School Ball Season (late-June through mid-August).

As you can imagine because our Christmas is during our summer we have a massive amount of work (and a massive amount we have to turn away :( ) in November and December.

so the other half of the year basically ;) - so you get two wedding seasons back to back!

May - September is peak time. But i've had two this month, and there's usually a few in April and October too.

I don't think there is a wedding season anymore! It used to be April to end of October, but now I get as many all year round .

True. This is to keep the cost down. Book everything at of peak times so its cheaper.

As business picks up for you, you will find 'wedding season' runs from 1st Jan to 31st Dec.

I get weddings all year too, but the majority are still between April and September.

last year my 1st wedding was on 1st Jan, last on 30th Dec

i did the same last year lol 1st 5th and 10th jan my bday lolol first 2 were weddings

winter weddings horrible ..... 23rd december a local castle heating was broken and one toilet for all the guests ...... not a fun packed night lol
