Anyone use PCDJ DMX yet?

Just wondering if anyone use PCDJ DMX yet? and what feedback do you have?

Had a quick look, couldn't get me head round it.........:confused:
But I've only played with traditional preset desk emulators, and the main software I use which is ShowCAD's Artist, which is one of the industry standards more for instalations.
Artist is object based and takes some getting to grips with, as there are no instructions as such :eek:
Trouble with any of these is the demo version isn't much use, I want to actually see something happen to learn how to use them, but don't want to spend the money to find it'll never get used.
The copy of Artist actually belongs to work, I took a chance buying for work it as I'd seen a system in operation, I use it for theatre use and other stuff like fashion shows, discos, talent shows and band events.

I'd also like to hear more about opinions on PCDJ DMX as I'm a PCDJ user.

I use PCDJ too but never feel 100 confident with it as it still glitches on occasion even after all the recommended fixes

I downloaded the trial a while back too. Loaded it up, looked confused, pushed a few buttons, and then uninstalled.

I'm a fan of DasLight, which I use on occassion, and I did have a Fat Frog emulator at one point.

Daslight is easy....go for it!

After my comment and now Will's, both of us know our DMX stuff, it can't be that easy :eek: :D :D :D

Although, I think with lighting software, like with sound software, once you've used a package for a while and got used to it, everything else does look confusing and difficult to learn.
You tend to judge things against the first thing you used/learnt.
I became something of an expert with the Martin 2308 controller and was bewildered by a TAS scan controller, even though they did the same job, just a different manufacturer.:o
