Just been to the local muso shop and have been guided towards the Dynachord Powermate 600... I love it and will probably get it but I am also wondering about the speakers. I like the sound of both the Peavey UL15 and the Wharfedale LX15's, the Peaveys being £200 more for the pair. Any guidance please, I have listened to both using the Dynacord and I can't tell the difference. So should I just go with the LX15's?

Oh I am also getting a Numark KMX02. :)

Any advice guidance would be great!

cant comment on the ul15 but i dont really like peavey but simon will tell that the wharfedale speakers are amzing sound quality but have poor build quality

peavey ul-15 brilliant speaker i had a toss up between them and mackie srm 450 went for mackies but used peavey for years great sound and imo very reliable well built cabs.

Did a rugger club do last night with my Mackie 450's and boy did they rock!!http://planetsmilies.net/music-smiley-1306.gif 130 people in and they sounded great.

your right dragonfly, i do like my wharfedales. im selling a pair of evp-x's at the mo, i would advise you to listen to these before you buy as there is very little difference in the sound quality, only in the power handling and as you are only using a dynacord 600 you wont need the extra power handling ability. I can also back dragon up about the mackies, ive just bought a pair of c300's and they sound stunning.

I had warfdale home speakers for a while and they sounded superb, but the chassis were very poorly built and aged very fast. Not saying the pro speakers would do the same but I would go peavey myself. I use a peavey sound system and they sound great. With plenty of power handling when needed.

Thanks for all your comments guys but before I read them i went for the Dynacord and the Wharfedales. sound quality was superb and if they do me a couple of years i'll be happy! Will then (money willing) invest in the mackie setup.
