Last part of my show upgrade is I think to add a set of LED PARS to the rig. However listening to some of the comments, I am not sure they will do quite what I want?
Looking at a set of the ones from Thomann - the Stairville ones I think. I would want these to run sound to light linked master slave, but I'm sure I have read somewhere that they run fine stand alone, but not master slave? is that correct?

I have the Stairville ones and they don't run master and slave. They do look stupid if you put them on sound to light as well because they flicker too fast.
Most people I know who have them seem to put them on slow scroll in auto mode.
There are some slightly more expensive ones at Thomann (about £65) which might be worth looking at or the new Prolight ones which are around £70.

I've just purchased 12 of the LEDJ DMX Flood (http://82.112.116.238/product_more_info.php?hdnProductID=628).
Bit brighter than the Par Cans, but still have a useless 'sound to light' mode. Might be worth looking at as an option.

Wish you'd said you had a pair to sell! Generally £120 per pair seems a good price.
are yours the XLR or jack DMX and if there jack, is it just a stereo jack lead?

Anyway, back to the matter in hand - sound to light with LED PARS is a no go - so what would the other option be to create a similar effect. Am I back to normal PAR 56?

I'm only going on the cans I have - the more expensive ones might be much better using sound to light.
