Problem with Numark Fusion 111

Has anybody had a problem with this system, here is mine, just bought it from Thomann in Germany, here we go.... whilst playing a CD if I touch the deck lid ever so gently on the right hand side front the display will show OPEN and the cd stops, if I do the same on the left hand side of lid it shows READING, now this is a major problem as if i take this on a gig as soon as you get bass through the Mackie bins I am worried it will stop mid song, and by the way it does exactly the same on both decks, is it just my bad luck or are they all like this, I mean it is not workable, I bought this as a back-up but what is the point of a back-up that your not confident in using.

Sounds like a fault to me.

Email Thomann and let them know. From what I've heard, they are pretty good in taking stuff back for repair or exchange.

are these top loading players?? sounds to me like a problem with the sensors that tell the unit theres a cd in it and the lid is shut. i looked at these as back up but think im going along the axis 4 or ideally axis 9 route.

just lookes and they are we had the same problem with my sons personal cd player ive always stuck with front loaders.

I have just spoken to Thomann and they are going to replace it, they aren't able to help as to why there is a problem as nobody knows the system the DJs that work there all use Vinyl, well I will see what the replacement is like but they have promised to refund me if that turns out to have the same problem, I must say they are very friendly and there is know quibble.
