You might want to make this poll multi option!

When it arrives, I'll be using the Denon HD2500 and a laptop.

Oops - I was trying to create a poll & didn't quite do it right. The poll is there, but I didnt want the separate post with the question. Doh!

Anyway - you can all vote now!

And no CDs??

I haven't used CDs for about 3 years.

Up until about a year ago I had a deck with Denon CD players in and a spare wallet of CDs, just in case.

The deck was very heavy, so I bought another laptop for backup and got rid of the players.

I'm seriously thinking about moving with the times & getting a Cortex, but can't decide whether to store the music on a standard external computer hard drive or an ipod.

None of the above. I use a PC.

An "old git" at only 16! Blimey.

I just cant face moving away from CD's. It took me long enough to switch from vinyl - and I still miss playing 45's.

I use 2 computers built into a flightcase both set up identical and run Virtual DJ.... Then should one crash or stop working for any reason i press a button and continue with the 2nd machine while i sort of the first machine... If the first machine cant be sorted i'll run off the back up for the rest of the night.

I do have a spare portable CD player just in case but have so far never needed it.

The only time i take cd decks now is if it's one of the biggie 1000+ gigs and thats only as a backup for the backup... Or if a client has requested i use cd's but generally that doesnt happen either.

d2 and laptop with OTS for me :)

Two identical external hard drives.

Spare laptop with OTS, R4 and music database loaded, plus about 3000 most-used tracks on the internal HDD as backup.

Cheapo £7 Asda CD player as a backup for the backup in the backup laptop and the backup in both primary laptops :p

CD decks will be consigned to eBay on April 6th (just after this years depreciation calc.)
