Hoping to upgrade to EV,s soon as i,ve heard them and they are brilliant quality sound.I,ll probably go for these at some point this year.You seem to have so much experience on this site so who better to ask? Plus you,ve helped me a lot since i,ve (re-started) dj,ing again.

Not heard those myself, but certainly EV is a good name in speakers. If you've heard them and like them then that's what really matters.

Are you after the package?

Not sure I would pair up EV speakers with a Numark amp, not that I've heard anything bad about the amp, but EV is high end as a rule whereas Numark tends to be middle.

well i run mackies off a numark amp and they sound fine, cant really tell the difference between the numark or a more expensive amp.

heard a few people saying they've blown numark amps in the last 4 or 5 months but 12/18 months ago no one said a bad word about them ??? maybe a bad batch? who knows. if I needed another amp it would be a peavey 2600.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with the amp, it just seems odd to me to pair up high end speakers with middle ground speakers. If it sounds OK then fair enough.

As most of you know we run Denon decks with Yamaha amps & Class D (which many will percieve as budget) speakers. High end kit with budget speakers may sound odd on paper, but it works.

I was just saying it semed odd to pair up those brands.

I think you'd be better off going for the sx300 rather than the sx100 they dont cost much more and if you want to upgrade later your already half way there! saw some of the bass cabs on e-bay last night, Item number: 290095768484
dont know much about numark amps but seems to me numark's quality is going south these days if there mixers are anything to go by!
