Has anyone ever done a gig here before? Friend has queried me doing a gig for them there and mentioned

'this is a 16th Century listed building in a noise controlled area, and as such any DJ/band needs to be routed though the in house speaker systems which has the required limits set' The venue spec also reads '1 amplifier, guardian sound monitor (this must be used by DJs)'

Does this sound like sound limiting/cutoff stuff???

Bah!! Thought so:( Any handy hints n tips? I suppose at least it's not my speakers...:)

Never mind the speakers--- is it your amp that keeps getting turned on and off as inevitably will happen :eek:

I disagree - "any DJ/band needs to be routed though the in house speaker systems" implies that all you are taking is your mixer and lights, no amp or speakers required.

...although, best make to sure, and even take yours as a backup!
