What a start to the week!!
Firstly, received an email from my function on saturday which was bigging me up. It's always good to get feedback in writing and I encourage it always. If I have an email address via a booking, generally I will email the customer afterwards to see what they thought - Here's the email I received :

Hi Gary,
Well it was great, fab sound system (a friend actually commented on the sound of the music coming out of your speakers!) and the music was superb. So many people came up to me and said they felt as if they were 20 again! A big thank you for "holding my hand" the leading up to the event and for listening and acting on my ideas for the music. Other people commented on how it was good to be able to hear the music without a DJ talking over it all the time!! Well done and thank you, thank you, thank you. A party is nothing without the right music and you got it completely right. If ever we have another party, you'll will be getting a call.

Then, almost immediately after reading it, the phone rang and it was a call from a lady who was at the party on saturday who wanted to book me for her 30th in May (I wonder if it was the blonde that kept giving me the eye - haha)...
This afternoon I have had confirmation from a guy from Bristol who was at a wedding I did a while back. He said that he didn't care how much I was going to charge, he just wants me to do his wedding on a friday night in June. It's a bit of a trek but I didn't go over the top with my price.
Then, about 20 minutes ago I got a call from a pub that I used to DJ at. The last thing I did there was on boxing day and then it's been really quiet there since so they haven't really had any entertainment. The landlady wants me there once a month on a friday and also booked me again on the spot for boxing day again....So, with that, I called the landlord at my local where I do my 'Request Fest' nights. He booked me again for christmas eve last week and I told him that things were going mad already, he said "I better get in there quick then" and booked me for New Years Eve!!
I've had an email enquiry too regarding a wedding in March 2008. I replied this morning and have just got back in to a reply saying that they want to book me and as since I started writing this topic, my MSN just popped up saying that I have an email. It's from a guy I was speaking to the other day who I have known for years who wants me to do his wedding on December 29th.
Mondays are generally busy but not like this....I hope everyone is having a Happy Monday today too.
