Hi what are your thoughts (reviews) on the Acme exercet light.i see that Blue Arran have them on sale at £49 just now.
Are they a good buy will they last all night?.
Also considering the Acme Smart Gobo.

Hiya Soundmaster!

I use an Exercet. I'd recommend it, and at the price you mentioned it's really good value for money.

It only weighs 4.6kg, has 18 gobos and 2 switches to control the gobo & reflector dish, although I just plug it in & let it do it's thing. Mine runs happily all night with no problems, and I've had it for a few years now. The bulb is very easy to replace and lasts for a good few months.

You should note that it uses a 100 watt bulb rather than the 250 watt ones which most gobo flowers use, but thats why I chose it. Most of my work is weddings, and I found the 250 watt ones to be a bit too bright & harsh.

I'm not saying it's dim, far from it, just a little more subtle than the 250 watt versions, and therefore, in my opinion, more suitable for weddings.

Hope this helps! :)
