can you help

i cable tied my kettle leads onto my lighting truss but not happy with it anyone got anyother suggestions to keep things neat like the power switch panels are they any good and do you have to plug from effect to switch panel what i am after is short and neat as i have a prolight 2x2 meter winch truss and 4 irock 5s hid and 2 irock 5b hid 1 dual 100mw green laser and a firecracker strobe i also have a botex scanmaster dmx controller any one got any good advice

try mounting an iec multiplug on your rig, or two, then hard wire each to a long iec cable. then plug all lights into the multiplugs. that way you only have one/two cables coming down

depends on how many effects. add all the light effects up, divide by two, then put one each side of the rig so light cables can be short. no point in one large multi adaptor then having all effects going to it. also work out the wattage of the effects going to the adaptor. ideally no more than 10A on each adaptor as i think iec is 10A load
If you have 8 effects, get two 4/5 way adaptors, then mount one on each side of rig

Heres a picture of a controller I made, Means most of my lights run through 1 or 2 of these and also put lighting control right infront of me. Must have cut down about 3-4 kilos of cables by switching to this.
Also makes setup times quicker.
Its rated to 3000 watts and I used suppressed switches to reduce the chance of crackilng when in use.
Took about 4 hours to make with parts bought from maplin. Held on to stands with velcro as seen in the picture. It has 2 large strips of it down each side with a large band going around for pole mount.
