Hi Guys,
Have just ordered one of these and am wondering who else has got one and what they think of it.
I've got a DNX-500 (and a 400) and it's a nice sounding solid bit of kit.
The 900 had too many bells and whistles on it for what I needed though.

I have the 500 too. Great mixer, no doubt the 900 will be great also.

Not got one, but used one for the first time on Saturday in my local chain of Yates and was very impressed. Very nice mixer, and built extremely well!

I have the DN-X500 and the DN-X1500, and they are both superb mixers. The X500 beats the (closest competitor) Pioneer DJM 3000 hands down, for sound quality, particularly when you push them.
I opted for the X500 over the X900 because, from what I could see, the X900 is a good £200 more, just for the digital connectivity.

why use the 500 when you have a 1500 ?

The X500 is rackmount, and I use it in a rackmount setup. The X1500 is in a flightcase with a pair of S5000's, and I couldn't be bothered swapping it from case to case all the time, so I bought an X500!
Oh, and I don't use the effects on the X1500 all that much, I can live without them.. :)

you can get a rackmount kit for the 1500, so you can use it in a 19 inch rack.
agree with the effects and sampler etc, i very rarley use them myself, but i love the matrix for connections, ie upto 8 inputs , is the 500 the same?

Yes, the X500 has the matrix input too. I used to have the official rackmount kit but it sagged majorly in the middle (couldn't support the weight)

Another happy user of the Denon DN-X500 mixer. I did look at the 900 but didnt need the bells and whistles either. So i went with the 500.
nice mixer quality sound too. The only thing i wasnt really keen on about the X500 was
no bnc lamp connector and also the fact that you have to go to the back of the mixer to plug a microphone in. But that doesnt bother me anymore. The denon stuff is very good.
