Get rid of autoplay on your DVD drive.

Isn't that what ticking take no action (the do this every time you insert a CD check box) should do?

(for those of you who saw the original post dont blame me its late :D)
You are not alone with this problem here. I too have a problem where Windows Media Player 11 wants to automatically rip every disc i insert.
At least it detects cd's that are already ripped (thank goodness for that)

The problem is the autorun system, it actually remembers indevidual cd's so when you click do theis action or take no action it only means on the disc you currently have inserted. As soon as you insert the next disc it will reset as it doesnt recognise the new disc and off you go again.

If you go into 'My Computer', and right click on the appropriate drive, it appears to have Autoplay options for each type of CD/DVD - ie. music, data, DVD video etc

Well, it was a bit vague, but yeah, the same as what I said!

Although before XP, you couldn't specify which type of media would autoplay..
