Hi all

I got asked to join here by Corabar Steve.

He was really polite and the bruising to my twisted arm has already started to fade to a gentle yellow/purple colour.

Right then...me.

Mobile DJ for 21 years. started off with all the usual village halls, house parties, marquees, community centres, etc and for the last decade or so have been almost 100% solely hotel/corporate/black tie do's.

I'm a member of musicians union, South Eastern Disc Jockeys association, various DJ forums and also demonstrate (and do various other things with) Denon DJ gear at various regional events around the UK.

...Fly me :-)

Imagine driving home from a function. It's 3am, it's raining. It was raining as you moved all the gear from the venue fire exit to the van doors - 80 metres away... you pull into your road, along to your house and through the rain smeared windscreen you see that your partner has left the outside light on for you. As you open the door to the front room you see also that they left the fire going for you, and a coffee mug prepared and the kettle ready. As you collapse on the sofa, mug of coffee on the side table in easy reach, the kitten jumps on your lap and settles down there purring.

You're home and welcomed.

Well, that's how I feel about coming back online here.

Well, given my avatar, I suppose I'm the forum cat, but if you think I'm going to sit on your lap and purr, you've got another thing coming!   :D

Nice to have you back, Gary.

Welcome back Gary, enjoy the (second ) honeymoon period while you can. To misquote from a film : "Fasten your seatbelts, it could be a bumpy ride ". :D :D

There's no good mentioning bumpy rides and honeymoon periods yet, Angela seems reluctant for some reason.
