7 pin controller

Hi guys,

just brought a euro 4E controller but it has a 7 pin female socket. does anyone know what i'll need and where to get the connections so i can connect a standmate to it.

The socket you've got on the back of your controller is most probably a standard Bulgin socket.

Bulgin was designed to carry electricity for up to 4 channels from controllers to lights (just like yours!).

There are various cables and connectors you can get depending on what you want to do. The most popular among DJs alike is the "Stand Mate" which i think is a 10m lead, with a bulgin plug on one end and 4x IECs female on the other (one IEC for each channel)

You'll find various Bulgin items on most online DJ shops, if you're after something specific drop us a reply, and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

cheers for that , but the the bulgin connection is 8 pin but this is 7 pin so really wanted something that can connect my 7 pin crontroller to my 8 pin standmate.

Ah, you're correct. Is this the connector with the flat pins and looks like an enlarged version of a right angled IEC?

Can't find them for the life of me in any catalogues I've got (partly as I don't know the offical name)
